Very clean, pool is great for all ages, has hot tub, big slide and rooms are decent size. Great for families. Room service is normally amazing from the echo restaurant. However over the thanksgiving weekend our order took over 1h 15 minutes. Figured after 1hr 15m they must have been extremely busy but when we walked into the restaurant to check up on order they were dead. Food was cold and old. We had a bill near $100 so to pay that much for cold food was a big disappointment. Im not going to rate the hotel for the food this time as we have got great service from them before. We have stayed in few different rooms. The rooms on this review are of the family room with bunk beds and the executive king room. The executive king room was average. The price wasnt that different to a standard room. There was lots of space and a jet tub. Bed was in great shape and clean. I felt that the room was so far away from everything in the hotel. We were staying with other guests so venturing in hotel to go to pool or other rooms was quite a journey. The family Room had a great little layout. Not the biggest room but everything fit nicely. Great colours for kids, 2 TVs, bunk beds and a couch. Room had a balcony with view of pool with patio table and chairs. It was a short walk to pool.
I stay here often for work(I stay over a 150 nights a year at different hotels and this is my favorite) and will not change Hotels. Very friendly front end staff. One of the best lounges in the city with good food and service. Rooms are clean and beds are comfortable. Enjoy the heated floors in the washroom...a nice touch. Definitely the best place to stay in Brandon.
Our stay at the Clarion Hotel in Brandon was phenomenal. The room was clean, and well appointed for the price. What made our stay really special was the staff. We had a few last minute changes in our plans for the weekend the staff made every attempt to accommodate us. They really made what could have been a very trying time very comfortable. Teresa at the front desk was a life saver and a delight to deal with. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.
Guest services was very accommodating when we needed a crib, though they forgot crib linens the first time. The pool and waterside area is great and there is an area to eat by the pool deck if there isn't enough room in your room. Having a poolside room will, unsurprisingly, result in a fairly strong chlorine smell in the room itself, presumably from the carpet if not the pool itself. There was nowhere I saw to shower off at the pool, leaving you to drip pool water through the hotel room to get to your own shower.
The hotel service was great and the rooms are updated and clean. The pool and waterslide are great and it has a very large pool deck with lots of tables and chairs. Its perfect if you have a large group and order food so you don't have to squish in a room to eat. The only issue we had was their was no real comforter on the beds. I'm sure they'd provide extra blankets at the front desk but all that was on the bed by default was a top sheet and thin little top cover that looks nice. There also wasn't any bath tub in the standard double queen rooms. Other room types may have one. This wasn't personally an issue, but may be one if you have small children that don't like a stand up shower.
